Jim Gordon
CD Recording started
Doug and I have started a new project with the working title "Back on Track". I expect the project to take about a year with a release in early 2008.
Bretton Hall and Holyground Records "Fringe" Festival
In May 2007 the team from Holyground Records have been invited to present a "Fringe" event at Bretton Hall. Those original artists who recorded on Holyground in the 70's have been invited to participate. I will be teaming up with Pete Howells for the occasion and we will be singing one song from "Ode" plus two more recent songs. This will be the first reunion of "Blue Epitaph" since 1973. The event is to be recorded and will take place on 5th May in the grounds of Bretton Hall,West Bretton, nr Wakefield, Yorkshire. Bretton Hall is also the setting for the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and was the location for the film, "Women In Love", starring Oliver Reid.
Doug Morter
Doug will be in Bergen in January. He will be playing a trio gig with Helge and Geir and some duo work with me. We will be using some time to record in the "Backyard" studio and lay down pre production work for what will eventually be the next cd.
Atle Johannsen
Atle is a great guitar player and normally is side man to Hungry John, Norway's Blues legend. He has played a few gigs with me recently because Arild Seim has been on tour and recording. "Freddy", as he is known to his mates, is a fantastic personality and will be joining me in January again for two nights in Bergen. This will be a Trio happening with Geir on bass. see links page for info about the Hungry John band.
Arild will be back again later in the year for some band gigs, dates to be arranged.
Cropredy Festival
As you all know, Cropredy Festival in August is Fairport Conventions's annual three day get together. This always includes artists with connections to or who have played with Fairports at some time.
This year "Then Came The Wheel" will be appearing along with a star studded cast on the Friday evening. http://www.fairportconvention.com/crop/cropbands.htm
Doug Morter back to Bergen in July
After his tour with "Then Came The Wheel" in July, Doug will be coming to Bergen where he will be playing three gigs with Helge Nyheim and Geir Rognø. He will also be guesting with the Jim Gordon band on 28th and 29th July at Scruffy Murphy's. This will be the first time we will have played as a five piece and I hope we can fit on the stage. Better still maybe they will have built the new stage by then!!!
Then Came The Wheel
"Then Came The Wheel" will be appearing 20-22 July for three nights at "Borgen" in Kopervik. This after their tour of Denmark in early July and will be their only appearance in Norway this year.

The Owens
Daniel Birkeland and Calle Hamre's new project, The Owens, with singer /songwriter Ove Svendsen will be warming up for Deep Purple when they play in Bergen in June.
Check out the links page for info about the band and click on English bio, for those who do not understand Norwegian.
This is an up and coming new band from the rock capital of Norway. Watch out for further news!!!!
Dark Side of The Wall
Helge Nyheim's very successful tribute band to Pink Floyd, Dark Side of The Wall, will be playing three shows in Haugesund 23-25th March. The first two concerts are already sold out so get your skates on if you wanna see the last one. It's worth it. Closest thing to the original you will see, according to Bergen Times.
Ole Amund Gjersvik
Ole Amund has just released his 6th solo cd "Circus" on Acoustic records. You can view this at the web site. See links page.
Ole Amund will be working with Jim and Doug Morter in March on some unplugged evenings in Bergen as well as one band gig which also includes Helge Nyheim on drums.
Geir Rognø
Geir Rognø from Bergen has been taking the bass spot in THE JIM GORDON BAND since summer 2005 since Ole Amund Gjersvik has been busy with "Trang Fødsel", selling around 100,000 copies of their recent release and number two in the charts summer 2005. Ole Amund has agreed that he will still be available to work with the band if Geir is at some point in the future busy with other projects.
